I haven’t – but I do have a friend, Stephen, who works in the European Astronaut Centre in Germany which is home to the European Space Agency. They deal with astronaut training, space medicine and generally managing astronauts as they explore space (e.g. help them communicate with family members back home). We started college at the same time and he was the first person I learned to code computers with!

Nope- but I worked with one of the women in a recent astronaut class while I was in Antarctica. Christina was the lab technician where we did all of our experiments- crazy huh? https://www.nasa.gov/astronauts/2013astroclass.html

I also have a friend who has worked with NASA, even though I haven’t myself đŸ™‚ He was working on with a really cool microscope in Switzerland, and NASA sent them some space dust to look at and study using the microscope.

Short answer no but OMG, defo still on my what if list for sure! That would be super cool to work for them. Who wouldn’t want to work in space science.

I have however studied moon rock and meteorites in my geology degree. My professor got some samples from Apollo 17 and we were all over them for the day. Best day ever! I also did a project looking at a meteorite, which was seriously cool! Next best thing I suppose!

I have never worked with NASA, but the reason I’ve been late replying to questions this week is because I’m away at an event called Falling Walls in Germany, and I met an astronaut! I spoke to Claudie HaignerĂ© who was the first European woman in space, and the first on the international space station too. I absolutely LOVE anything to do with space travel, and I’d love to speak to researchers at the European Space Agency as well as at NASA!
