• Question: what do you think is at the bottom of the ocean?

      I think that there are a lot of things that we haven’t discovered yet. But we do know that the bottom of the ocean is covered by a lot geologic features like volcanoes, mountain ranges, rift zones that are formed by tectonic plates. We also know that there is a lot of sediment that comes from the surface of the ocean too. There are some really cool projects that people can do to measure past air and water temperature more using the remains of animals and plants that have died or been eaten by animals on the bottom of the ocean because the sediment builds up over time.
