Question: What made you choose to become a Marine Botanist? iv'e never really thought of how seaweed is useful. What can you do with seaweed?

I used to train dolphins and sea lions for research… mostly to see how much energy they use while finding food etc. But I took a marine botany course during that job and realized that seaweeds are so diverse and adaptable! You can ask so many question about them and their environment, they really support marine communities. That is why I decided to switch from mammals to algae- to ask more questions!
