No, not at all, but science can help you to get lots of jobs! Even just with physics you can work in electronics, or pharmaceuticals, computer science, robotics, fuel cells, lasers, medical physics and so many other things! Every company, from banks to BMW need people to do research for them.

No, science isn’t essential, but it really helps as it shows that you can problem solve, and have an analytical brain and curiosity. Many people in top companies did science in school and their degrees and sometimes its not just the subjects you learn but the skills you acquire in learning them. It shows you have variety. Lots of companies have research and development sectors and nowadays are looking into big data! Young people with skills in data analysis is an absolute goldmine for so many companies.

If someone can’t hack the science that’s no massive issue, but as long as you have another good skill set that companies can use you for, you’re very employable. It’s good to open to as many opportunities as you can!
